Soccer has so much open space, and unlike football, there’s less going on at the sidelines, making it easier to focus on and capture the players in action.
Daylight provides strong natural light, so I use an ND filter to control exposure. A 70-300mm lens is my go-to for this type of sports photography.
Having a great team to collaborate with and people to grow and connect with makes a huge difference. I highly recommend reaching out, building relationships, and making connections—they can go a long way.
Be bold and free with your work—this is the time to experiment, learn, and develop your unique style. Establishing your own look is essential; it’s what makes people recognize your work instantly and say, “That’s theirs.”
